Jesus Christ proclaimed in John 10:10: “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” The Bible tells us that God sent His only begotten Son into this world so that anyone can have a more abundant life and have the power to overcome “the thief,” who is the adversary.
Is this life of abundance truly available? And if so, how can we attain this powerful life that God wants for us? The Way of Abundance and Power series answers these questions. Based on our ministry’s years of Biblical research, this three-class series is designed to guide students through the Scriptures so they can learn how to walk in the way of abundance and power for themselves. In the process, they learn how to help others also attain this life that God intended.
Three video classes make up the series—the Foundational, Intermediate, and Advanced Classes. Each successive class builds upon the preceding one in an enjoyable format conducive to learning. With each class, students receive a detailed syllabus as well as other supporting materials. The classes vary in length, with a variety of teachers offering clear, solid answers to those searching for the truth.
The Foundational Class introduces the student to the way of abundance and power that God intends for His people. Some of the benefits this twelve-session class offers are
- developing a deep respect for the integrity of God’s Word while learning how the Bible interprets itself;
- understanding how to strengthen yourself in practical living, such as learning how to believe God and overcome doubt, worry, and fear;
- learning how to be born again and receive God’s gift of holy spirit;
- learning how to build up the gift of holy spirit inside you with the foundational manifestation of speaking in tongues.
Thankful graduates of a Foundational Class in Chile share, “These teachings have answered questions that many of us have had for decades, and everything is explained verse by verse as we see how the Scripture interprets itself. Our believing has been energized, and our understanding has been enlightened. We have learned how to get to know God and what His will is for our lives.”
Building upon this strong foundation is the next class in the series, the Intermediate Class. The six sessions in this class give Foundational Class graduates a pattern for growth in their walk as sons of God by instructing them how to
- retain the Word of God with conviction;
- build faithfulness as a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ;
- properly operate the three worship manifestations of holy spirit—speaking in tongues, the interpretation of tongues, and prophecy.
Here’s the response of participants in an Atlanta, Georgia, Intermediate Class:
“As we have studied I Corinthians 12, 13, and 14, we have been blessed to see the depth of God’s Word and His attention to detail. Our vision for our lives has grown, and we are increasing our ways to serve in God’s household.”
Both the Foundational and Intermediate Classes are offered through our household fellowships, which are located throughout the United States, in two U.S. territories, and in over thirty international countries. The Foundational Class is also available in Spanish and French; and we plan to release the Spanish and French translations of the Intermediate Class in 2014.
The third class and final component in this series is the Advanced Class. As an academic requirement for the Advanced Class, students complete the Advanced Studies class on Defeating the Adversary. The Defeating the Adversary class enlightens disciples about the spiritual competition and instructs them how to be victorious over the god of this world, the adversary, in everyday life.
The Advanced Class has been presented at either The Way International Headquarters in Ohio or at Camp Gunnison—The Way Household Ranch in Colorado. Students spend approximately two weeks away from the hustle and bustle of life in an environment set up for maximum learning in minimum time. They enjoy teaching, study time, fellowship, meals, recreation, and more.
To complete the students’ instruction in the nine manifestations of holy spirit (I Corinthians 12:7-10), this class provides in-depth teaching from God’s Word in the revelation manifestations of word of knowledge, word of wisdom, and discerning of spirits, and the impartation manifestations of faith (believing), workings of miracles, and gifts of healings. This prepares graduates to follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ, bringing God’s deliverance to others.
Completing The Way of Abundance and Power series opens up avenues of service in The Way Ministry, such as participating in the Disciples of the Way Outreach Program and The Way Corps leadership training program, coordinating a household fellowship, and serving as Staff of The Way International. It also opens up opportunities to participate in Advanced Class Specials, which provide continued spiritual learning and development.
Ultimately, those who are searching for an accurate knowledge of the truth learn in The Way of Abundance and Power series how to understand the Scriptures for themselves and live them dynamically. Not only will they be able to manifest God’s power and abundance in their own lives, but they will be better equipped to help others live that life more abundant too….
